LOCAL PLANNED MAINTENANCE 12 YEARS
(LPM12Y)

G7 Global Aerospace (G7GA) is at the forefront of enhancing Malaysia's aerospace capabilities through the strategic Local Planned Maintenance 12 Years (LPM12Y) initiative for the Royal Malaysian Air Force's F/A-18D aircraft. This program is pivotal in extending the operational life of these aircraft until 2040, consistent with the RMAF's CAP 55 strategy, despite other global operators planning to decommission their fleets by 2030.

Initiated in response to the global pandemic's disruption, LPM12Y marks a significant shift towards self-reliance in aerospace maintenance. By conducting the first full in-country overhaul in 2020, G7GA has established a benchmark for domestic aerospace capabilities. The comprehensive program encompasses meticulous inspections and maintenance of structural, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring each aircraft meets the highest standards of safety and performance.

This initiative not only bolsters the operational readiness of Malaysia's defense assets but also underscores G7GA’s commitment to developing local expertise and fostering technological sovereignty in defense aerospace. By integrating international expertise with local talent, G7GA is creating a robust ecosystem for sustainable aerospace innovation and securing a strategic advantage in regional aerospace maintenance and support.

"The proposed MRO services consists of depot level Local Planned Maintenance (LPM) services, which include the "Local Planned Maintenance 12 Years" (LPM12Y), the LPM6Y, Structural Life Extension Program (SLEP), and other depot level related supplementary services."
